Summary:
The primary role of the Production Manager is to ensure a consistent and efficient manufacturing process through directing the activities of production equipment and employees.
Primary Responsibilities:
The duties for this position include but are not limited to the following:
- Lead by example and enforce safety guidelines and other company standards.
- Ensure all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) are adhered to by production employees.
- Ensure 100% accuracy of product blends and packaging according to internal and customer specifications and standards.
- Meet daily production targets while operating within budget.
- Work closely with the Quality Systems Manager to comply with regulatory and 3rd party auditing agencies.
- Lead continuous improvement efforts related to 5S, product yield, waste, process improvement, labor, other production metrics.
- Interview, train, and monitor performance of production employees and provide feedback, coaching, and disciplinary actions as appropriate.
- Comply with employment law and human resources policies.
