Position Overview



The Production Supervisor oversees daily plant activities, ensuring safe, efficient, and high‑quality production execution. This role is responsible for supervising employees, managing workflows, driving KPI performance, and fostering a positive, engaged team environment. By leveraging lean tools and production boards, the supervisor ensures every team member is informed, aligned, and empowered to achieve operational goals.





Key Responsibilities



Leadership & Employee Engagement




  • Create and maintain a positive, engaged, and collaborative work environment.

  • Provide clear communication, constructive feedback, coaching, and ongoing support to employees.

  • Work with leadership to assess employee strengths and developmental needs.

  • Ensure roles, responsibilities, and expectations are clearly communicated.

  • Interview, hire, develop, and onboard operations staff.

  • Address performance issues, complaints, and disciplinary actions in accordance with company policy and applicable laws.



Operations & Production Management




  • Oversee daily plant and production activities to meet schedule requirements and priorities.

  • Use production boards to keep teams informed of performance versus standards.

  • Maximize utilization of resources, equipment, materials, and personnel.

  • Support employees in understanding procedures and the correct use of production equipment.

  • Evaluate production methods and recommend improvements to enhance productivity and reduce scrap.



KPI Performance & Continuous Improvement




  • Review operational metrics regularly; identify misses and implement countermeasures.

  • Drive root cause analysis, corrective actions, and follow‑through with assigned owners and timelines.

  • Maintain accuracy and integrity of Tier Board data and performance information.

  • Conduct lean process audits to verify compliance with lean standards.

  • Train, coach, and support teams in lean tools, methodologies, and best practices.



Quality & Compliance




  • Understand and support quality policies, ensuring alignment with standards and documentation.

  • Promote adherence to processes that reinforce safety, quality, and operational excellence.



This position will train on the day shift from 5:30A - 2:30P.  We will transition to a 2-2-3 schedule, and the hours will be 6P - 6A.
