Opportunity

Saiful Bouquet is an internationally recognized, award-winning structural engineering firm, with two offices in Southern California. We are currently seeking an Associate Principal to join us in our headquarters in Downtown Los Angeles, located on the 37th Floor of 725 S. Figueroa Street. The Associate Principal position involves design and detailing of structural systems for large, complex structures in many market sectors, primarily Type I construction. Applicant would have the responsibility of being a leader in the firm and developing clients for future work. Applicant must have the management skills needed to lead a team of structural engineers and BIM designers in a dynamic office environment and steer projects towards successful outcomes working closely with architects, contractors, and other consultants. Required Qualifications

• 12+ years of building design experience.
• Experience in a wide variety of structural materials and building types with emphasis on design of larger steel and concrete structures in multiple market sectors.
• SE license is required.
• Recognized as a leader in the industry.
• Proven track record with clients in delivering successful projects with several established rewarding client relationships.
• Ability to act as a strong and decisive leader.
• Strong technical ability, preferably with unique strengths within a certain technical area or market sector.
• Experience with DSA and HCAI/OSHPD is a plus.
• Experience with seismic evaluation and retrofit of existing buildings using ASCE 41 is a plus.
• Master’s degree from a US university in structural engineering is highly desirable.
• Strong communication and people skills, and team players required.
• All candidates must be eligible to work and are located in the US.
