Salary Dependent upon Experience, Academic Preparation and the ATA Contract

 

• Current New York State Certification in Students with Disabilities 5-9 or 7-12 or K-12 Special Education.


• Must possess additional valid NYS Certification in any one of the following: 7-12 Math, 7-12 Social Studies, 7-12 Science or 7-12 ELA.


• Experience teaching in 12-1-1 or 15-1-1 or functional academic programs preferred.


• Ability to continuously collaborate and co-teach with other classroom teachers and therapists.  Must have a solid background in differentiation and knowledge of NYS Common Core Learning Standards and NYS Alternate Assessment Frameworks.


• Will need to be able to write, and measure IEP goals.


• Have multi-sensory approaches to teaching reading.


• Use technology, communication, and information systems to support student learning.


• Willingness to contribute to overall school program.


• Familiarity with Frontline preferred.
