What impact you will make:
As the Sourcing Qualification Program Manager for Aero Capital parts, you will be responsible for leading critical supplier qualification initiatives for Aero engine subcomponents. This role requires close coordination with Aero Industrialization team, Commodity Owners (GCLs, CSLs), Global Supply Chain strategy team and Aero Capacity Program Manager to prioritize and execute qualification projects in support of business and capacity needs. You will lead cross-functional teams comprising Engineering, Sourcing Quality, Materials, Factory/Supply Chain, and Commodity leadership to ensure effective project execution. The role is accountable for driving the timely progression, completion, and overall success of assigned qualification programs.

Job Description

I. Key Accountabilities/ Execution:

  • Lead Aero-selected component qualification programs from initiation through successful and timely closure, ensuring alignment with technical, quality, and business requirements.
  • Project manage and support all process steps before, during, and after qualification, including identifying and managing key dependencies, risks, and cross-functional inputs.
  • Onboard new vendors and ensure effective communication is established and maintained through the appropriate channels across internal teams and external partners.
  • Drive accountability by coordinating with internal stakeholders and suppliers to ensure deliverables are met on schedule and in compliance with qualification standards.
  • Develop and maintain qualification project plans, including scope, milestones, and execution requirements, and hold both internal teams and suppliers accountable for delivery.
  • Partner with Commodity Owners (GCLs, CSLs) to define, secure, and manage the budget required to support qualification activities.
  • Partner with Global Strategic Leader on vendor selection, global strategy and prioritization.
  • Lead cross-functional execution across Engineering, Sourcing Quality, Materials, Factory/Supply Chain, and Commodity teams to ensure effective planning and implementation of qualification activities.
  • Identify, assess, and drive mitigation of schedule, execution, and budget risks affecting assigned qualification programs, and manage resolution of major issues as they arise.
  • Maintain continuous alignment with Commodity Owners (GCLs, CSLs) and the Aero Capacity Program Manager on global demand needs, project prioritization, and qualification execution plans.
  • Ensure qualification program priorities and execution are aligned with the Gas Power Generator & Aero Sourcing team’s SQDC KPI metrics.
  • Provide timely communication of project status, key risks, mitigation plans, and critical decisions to cross-functional stakeholders and leadership, including management of escalations as required.
  • Prepare periodic and ad hoc management updates, reports, and project readouts.
  • Support make/buy and vendor-to-vendor strategy execution in alignment with Supply Chain team decisions.
  • After qualification completion, monitor supplier execution and quality performance, and lead corrective actions as needed to ensure stable and effective ongoing delivery.

II. Responsibility:

  • Act according to the GE Vernova Gas Power sourcing policies.
  • Align Aero sourcing team Team SQDC priorities.
  • Lead the execution of the assigned generator qualification projects.
  • Lead the daily operations and connected KPI reporting / analytics for the assigned generator qualification projects.

III. Authority:

  • Support Generator and Aero Sourcing Team’s strategy execution to achieve improved SQDC outcomes.
  • Drive cross functional team of engineering, sourcing quality, materials, factory/supply chain and commodity leaders. Responsibility is to drive timely qualification execution and completion for your projects.

IV. Qualifications/Requirements:

Education: BS/BA Degree (Technical or Business preferred)

Experience:

  • Significant experience in sourcing, sourcing quality or supply chain program management.
  • Knowledge of Aero engine key components, vendors and supply chain.

Technical skills, Language knowledge:

  • Working knowledge of Parts ERP Systems, including Business Intelligence tools (Data Warehouse, PowerSource).
  • Expert level of project tracking tools (MS Projects, etc).
  • Strong skills in MS Office Applications (including MS Access).

Soft skills, Competencies:

  • Solid communication skills and presentation skills in English
  • Proven Program Management leadership skills
  • Ability to work in a cross-functional matrix organization.
  • Self-starter, resourceful

V. Desired:

  • Experience with project management and Aero machines supply chain.
  • Experience in NPI program management.
  • Knowledge of GEV engineering processes and tools (ie: PLM).

For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $108 800.00 and $181 300.00. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set.

Bonus eligibility: discretionary annual bonus.
