Position Overview:



As a Field Service Engineer, you’ll play a crucial role in bringing our automation systems to life, from in-house testing to on-site commissioning. You'll work closely with engineers and customers to ensure seamless installation, commissioning, and operation of our control solutions, including Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs). This dynamic position offers a blend of hands-on field work and meticulous testing, requiring a strong technical background, a problem-solving mindset, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.



 



Key Responsibilities:




  • In-house


    • Participate in the assembly and testing of control panels before deployment

    • Configure, commission, and troubleshoot VFDs under controlled conditions

    • Collaborate with engineers to debug and refine electrical installations

    • Document panel assembly and testing procedures for future reference



  • On-site

    • Supervise electrical contractors during the installation of control panels and associated equipment

    • Perform electrical installations under the direction of engineers and following established guidelines

    • Power up control panels and verify communication with connected machinery

    • Check Input/Output (I/O) points for proper operation and troubleshoot any discrepancies

    • Configure, commission, and troubleshoot Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs) for motor control applications

    • Understand VFD parameters and settings to ensure optimal performance of motors and machinery

    • Troubleshoot VFD-related issues, such as motor faults, communication errors, and parameter mismatches

    • Perform preventative maintenance on VFDs to ensure their reliability and longevity

    • Assist engineers with system commissioning, including program uploading, VFD parameter adjustments, and system testing

    • Train maintenance personnel on basic operation and troubleshooting of the control system

    • Document installation and commissioning activities for future reference.

    • Maintain a safe and organized work environment

    • Build strong relationships with clients and provide technical support as needed
