Position: Welder 1                                                                                      FLSA Status: Non-Exempt 



 



Job Overview 



As a Welder 1, you will be responsible for fabricating metal structures and components using various welding techniques. You will work from blueprints and other technical drawings to produce high-quality welds that meet industry standards. 



Job Responsibilities 




  • Utilize MIG and TIG welding techniques to join metal components. 




  • Weld in various positions, including flat, vertical, horizontal, and overhead. 




  • Adjust welding equipment settings to achieve desired weld quality. 




  • Cut, shape, and assemble metal components using various tools and equipment. 




  • Interpret blueprints and technical drawings to determine fabrication requirements. 




  • Ensure accurate measurements and tolerances. 




  • Inspect welds for quality and conformance to specifications. 




  • Identify and correct welding defects. 




  • Adhere to all safety regulations and procedures. 




  • Wear appropriate personal protective equipment. 




  • Maintain a clean and organized work area. 




  • Other duties, as assigned. 



Education – Experience Required 




  •  0-3 years of welding experience. 




  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings. 




  • Strong attention to detail. 




  • Manual dexterity. 




  • Basic math skills. 




  • Ability to use measuring tools, such as tape measures, calipers, and micrometers. 




  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. 




  • Ability to work in various positions, including bending, stooping, kneeling, and working overhead. 




  • Stay up-to-date on the latest welding techniques and technologies. 




  • Collaborate with other team members to achieve production goals. 




  • Identify and troubleshoot welding problems.
