Description:

Are you a skilled Maintenance Technician looking for a hands-on role where your work directly impacts the daily experience of residents and clients? We're seeking an experienced, detail-oriented professional to join our team and help maintain our community to the highest standards. The hourly rate for this position will $19.00-25.00, we are seeking candidates for 1st (5am-3:30pm) and 2nd shift (2pm-12:30am) 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Perform general maintenance tasks, including painting, patching, minor repairs, cleaning, and routine upkeep of facilities.
  • Inspect community areas regularly to identify and address issues such as litter, equipment malfunctions, and safety concerns.
  • Respond promptly and professionally to maintenance requests, ensuring timely and effective solutions.
  • Maintain exterior spaces, including sidewalks, parking lots, and common areas, to ensure a clean and welcoming environment.

Work Environment:

  • Fast paced work environment with, in and around industrial machinery.
  • Working with Material Handling Equipment on a daily basis.
  • Cold storage environment. Production rooms are kept between at a constant 28-32 degrees (and below in certain areas). Ability to withstand cold storage temps for extended periods of time.
  • Noise level varies and at times and can be loud.











Requirements:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a maintenance, handyman, or similar role.
  • Strong proficiency with hand tools, hardware, and power equipment.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Effective communication skills with a customer service mindset.
  • Detail-oriented, reliable, and proactive problem solver.
  • Proven ability to use basic mathematical skills.
  • Self-starter with an Entreprenurial spirit.
  • Ability to work occasional to frequent overtime.
  • Ability to read and take direction in English.
  • Must be capable of becoming certified to operate equipment.

Physical Requirements:

  • Capability to stand in one place for 30% of the shift (8+ hours per day)
  • Capability to walk throughout department for 70% of the shift (8+ hours per day)
  • Requires the frequent use of both hands and arms
  • Requires the ability to lift overhead using both arms
  • Capability to bend, twist, and squat as needed throughout the shift
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds without reasonable assistance.
  • Must be able to frequently push, pull, kneel, bend and reach.
  • Strong proficiency with hand tools, hardware, and power equipment.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Effective communication skills with a customer service mindset.
  • Detail-oriented, reliable, and proactive problem solver.
