Description
The Outpatient Clinic is looking for a full-time individual with great customer service skills to join our team to assist the patients in getting registered for their appointment(s)/procedure(s).
Obtains patient demographic and health insurance information; collects co-pay if appropriate.
Enters patient information into the computer system.
Schedules outpatient clinic appointments.
Communicates appropriately and clearly to nurse, co-workers and physicians.
Consults other departments, as appropriate, to provide for an interdisciplinary approach to the patient's needs.
Demonstrates an ability to be flexible, organized and function under stressful situations.
Treats patients and their families with respect and dignity.
Interacts professionally with patients and their families and provides explanations and verbal reassurances as necessary.
Answers telephone in a polite manner and communicates information to the appropriate staff or family.
Manages and operates equipment safely and correctly.
Maintains regulatory requirements, nursing and outpatient clinic policies and procedures and standards, including infection prevention and control, safety regulations and guidelines.
Requirements
Must have experience and working knowledge of medical terminology and good customer service skills. Ability to work cooperatively with others.
Skills:
Basic computer knowledge.
Accuracy and detail oriented in necessary for scheduling appointment
Summary
The Outpatient Clinic is the primary registration location for patients coming into CMH to have services rendered. We are looking for someone who can join our great customer service team to excel at caring for you!
