So, what will the Quality Control Chief at Terrestris do?

As the Quality Control Chief, you will support daily operations for the W. Kerr Scott Reservoir O&M contract, managing quality inspections and safety. This position is the compliance authority, with strong inspection capability, regulatory knowledge, and the authority to enforce corrective actions across the operation. The project spans 1,475 surface acre of water, 5,775 acres of land, 12 recreation parks, 40 miles of trails, dams, facilities, and year-round public infrastructure, supporting peak and off-peak operational demands continuously.

What does a typical day look like for the Quality Control Chief?

You will:

  • Supervise
    multidisciplinary field staff supporting parks, trails, dam
    infrastructure, buildings, and utilities.
  • Coordinate
    maintenance activities across 12 recreation areas and approximately 40
    miles of trails.
  • Enforce quality
    control, safety, and environmental compliance in accordance with EM
    385-1-1 requirements.
  • Serve as secondary
    on-site liaison with COR, QAR, park rangers, and contracting officials.
    Serve as the primary liaison when the Superintendent is absent.
  • Attend briefings,
    planning sessions, and other Government-designated meetings.
  • Manage use and
    accountability of Government-furnished equipment, vehicles, and
    facilities.
  • Review work orders,
    schedules, and daily reports within the FEM/Maximo maintenance system.
  • Support continuity of
    services supporting 1,475-acre reservoir and 5,775 acres of surrounding
    land, one Visitor Assistance Center & Environmental Education Center,
    12 formal recreation park areas, and 40 miles of trail.
  • Develops and
    implements the project’s quality control plan; this includes conducting
    regular inspections, maintaining compliance with regulations, and
    enforcing corrective actions.

What qualifications do you look for?

You might be the professional we’re looking for if you have:

  • Authorization to work in the U.S. permanently
    without sponsorship.
  • In-depth knowledge of USACE safety and health requirements,
    including EM 385-1-1 and OSHA-related safety obligations. Advanced OSHA
    certification preferred.
  • Experience applying USACE safety, environmental, and quality
    control requirements.
  • Understanding of inspection of services requirements under FAR
    52.246-4 and Government quality assurance processes.
  • Ability to design and implement corrective action procedures, and
    coordinate quality control activities across multiple functional areas and task
    provisions.
  • Excellent communication in English (written and oral). Ability to
    participate and lead client-facing meetings and communications.
  • Ability to successfully complete a background investigation.
