DP World, the fast-growing transportation and logistics leader that currently manages more than 10% of world trade, is seeking three professionals to join its new Greenfield Contract Logistics site in Ostrava, Czech Republic as Shift Managers.
Empower your team and production shifts as Shift Manager – drive efficiency, quality and safety while leading direct/indirect reports, sparking collaboration, and fueling goal-driven growth with continuous improvement!
Your Responsibilities:
• Drive Production Excellence: Lead shift teams to fulfill production plans with "Right First Time" quality, enforcing zero-tolerance for process deviations.
• Ensure On-Time Delivery: Master JIT logistics, visual tracking systems, and internal processes to deliver products to customers every time.
• Resolve Customer Issues: Spearhead root cause analysis and robust countermeasures to eliminate repeated concerns permanently.
• Lead & Coordinate Teams: Manage production staff and supervisors daily, aligning everyone toward shared goals with strong leadership.
• Champion Customer Focus: Stay responsive to internal/external demands while exceeding expectations through proactive insights.
• Develop Reporting Systems: Build and maintain materials/production reports that deliver real-time visibility for management and customers.
• Handle Employee Relations: Advise on fair resolutions for team issues, balancing morale with company objectives (safety, quality, delivery, cost, environment).
• Fuel Lean Transformation: Actively champion 5S, standardized work, people involvement, and company projects for continuous improvement.
Your Profile:
• Bachelor's degree in Operations, Engineering, Logistics, Business Management, or related field (equivalent experience considered).
• Minimum 2+ years as Shift Manager in operations, logistics, or production environments.
• Strong understanding of logistics processes, production workflows, and relevant procedures/documentation.
• Fluent in Czech and English, with excellent communication and attention to detail.
• Advanced analytical skills for processing complex data and driving insights.
• Innovative thinker with a proactive, precise, and highly communicative approach.
• Proficient in MS Office; quick learner of company systems, policies, and safety protocols.
