Job Summary:
The Flight Control Manager is responsible for the safe, timely, and efficient management of Operational Control to include the Flight Following personnel. The Flight Control Manager will be current and qualified in all respects as a flight follower and ATS. The Flight Control Manager will hold an FAA Dispatch Certificate.

Job Duties:
- Ensure operations adhere to applicable CFR’s
- Monitor Flight Follower’s in the performance of tasks pertaining to Operational Control.
- Ensure flights are planned with due consideration given to meteorological conditions, MEL/CDL discrepancies and aircraft limitations/restrictions.
- Monitor the communication procedures used to inform appropriate personnel of significant changes in flight status, aircraft changes, aircraft substitutions, delays, unscheduled landings, diversions, or cancellations.
- Exercise authority over policies, procedures, instructions, and information for the flight crew member duty/rest requirements and ensuring that data is entered in the approved electronic records program.
- Ensure that all records, paperwork and ESTOP audits are completed timely.
- Recruiting and training of all Flight Following personnel and performance competency checks and annual evaluations.
- Perform various administrative functions such as approving work schedules.
- Has the responsibility and authority to establish and modify the Flight Control Procedures Manual.

- Accomplish such other duties that may be assigned by the Director of Operations.

Required/Preferred Experience, Education & Skills:
- Position requires 40 hours of training with successful completion of ground school.
- Dispatch rating and previous experience with large aircraft dispatch.
- 1 to 3 years of prior supervisory experience indicating prior advancement during this period required.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Demonstrated problem solving expertise.
- Ability to motivate and develop employees.
- Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures, work processing systems/software, managing files and records, designing forms and other office procedures and related terminology.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality in all aspects of employment, including file and record maintenance.
- Knowledge of technology used for training purposes or possess an interest in learning the technological methods used in training.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license.
- Must possess a valid FAA Dispatch Certificate.
