Description
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Medical Assistant to join our growing medical team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our medical staff, providers, and ensuring our patients receive high-quality care. An ideal candidate is a team player with basic healthcare skills.
Responsibilities
- Rooming patients, accurately obtain and record vital signs and medical history in EHR.
- Checking patients vitals
- Assist provider’s procedures and exams.
- Check voicemails and return calls in a timely manner.
- Displays and maintains competency in administration of immunizations/injections.
- Adheres to instrument sterilization process.
- Cleans exam rooms between each patient visit.
- Actively participates in ensuring providers schedules run in a time-efficient manner.
- Proficient in POC testing.
- Patient education on DME equipment usage and disease prevention.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Completion of an accredited Medical Assisting program preferred.
- 2+ years of medical office experience preferred.
- BLS CPR Certification.
- Previous clinical or outpatient experience is preferred
