    POSITION: Technology Technician
    REPORTS TO: Director of Technology
    SALARY: Starting at $39,505/year plus Board paid medical, dental, and life insurance and holiday/vacation/sick days 

    QUALIFICATIONS: 

    • Associates Degree in Informational Technology or Equivalent Experience
    • A+ Certification, Other Industry Certifications preferred
    • 2-5 Years' Experience in Hardware/Software Support & Troubleshooting Microsoft Network and Desktop Operating Systems, Mac/Apple OS Support, Network Infrastructure Installation & Support including Network Cabling and Basic Network Services

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES:

    • Provide maintenance, repair service, and technical support for district hardware, software, and operating systems, including end user computing devices, printers, audio-visual equipment, communication systems, network hardware, operating systems, educational and administrative software
    • Installation and configuration of new hardware, software, cabling, and network infrastructure
    • Provide support to employees in the use of technology devices, software, and systems
    • Assist in providing training for employees in the use of equipment, software, and systems
    • Assist in the development and ongoing evaluation of the District's Long Range Technology Plan
    • Assist in the evaluation of existing as well as new and emerging technology hardware, software, and systems
    • Assist in the development of specifications for technology related purchases
    • Assist in the design and configuration of technology systems throughout the district
    • Participate in professional development to stay current on existing and emerging technologies
    • Perform other duties as directed by immediate supervisor or Board of Education
    • Demonstrate ability to use logic and critical analysis to troubleshoot and resolve problems
    • Demonstrate ability to communicate clearly and concisely both orally and in writing
    • Establish and maintain positive working relationships; demonstrate ability to work independently, take initiative as required.
