The API / CWI Inspector is responsible for inspecting and assessing equipment integrity in compliance with applicable API / ASME standards. The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge, keen attention to detail, and effective communication skills to coordinate with project teams and clients.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct inspections on pressure vessels, piping systems, storage tanks, and other equipment per ASME and API standards (API 510, API 570, API 653).
Perform visual inspections, non-destructive testing (NDT), and detailed assessments.
Prepare comprehensive inspection reports documenting findings, recommendations, and corrective actions.
Coordinate inspections with operations and maintenance teams to ensure minimal disruption.
Ensure compliance with relevant industry codes, standards, and regulatory requirements.
Provide technical support and guidance regarding equipment maintenance and repairs.
Support continuous improvement in inspection processes and quality management systems.
Requirements
Qualifications:
Current API certification (API 510, API 570, API 653) or CWI certification required.
Minimum 3 years of experience performing API / CWI inspections.
Knowledge and understanding of relevant codes and standards (ASME, ANSI, NACE, etc.).
Ability to interpret technical documentation, engineering drawings, and specifications.
Strong proficiency in inspection equipment and software.
Excellent organizational, communication, and documentation skills.
Preferred Skills:
Additional certifications in NDT methods (Level II or III).
