Job Description

The API / CWI Inspector is responsible for inspecting and assessing equipment integrity in compliance with applicable API / ASME standards. The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge, keen attention to detail, and effective communication skills to coordinate with project teams and clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct inspections on pressure vessels, piping systems, storage tanks, and other equipment per ASME and  API standards (API 510, API 570, API 653).

  • Perform visual inspections, non-destructive testing (NDT), and detailed assessments.

  • Prepare comprehensive inspection reports documenting findings, recommendations, and corrective actions.

  • Coordinate inspections with operations and maintenance teams to ensure minimal disruption.

  • Ensure compliance with relevant industry codes, standards, and regulatory requirements.

  • Provide technical support and guidance regarding equipment maintenance and repairs.

  • Support continuous improvement in inspection processes and quality management systems.



Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Current API certification (API 510, API 570, API 653) or CWI certification required.

  • Minimum 3 years of experience performing API / CWI inspections.

  • Knowledge and understanding of relevant codes and standards (ASME, ANSI, NACE, etc.).

  • Ability to interpret technical documentation, engineering drawings, and specifications.

  • Strong proficiency in inspection equipment and software.

  • Excellent organizational, communication, and documentation skills.

Preferred Skills:

  • Additional certifications in NDT methods (Level II or III).
