    Job Details: 188 day contract (Full-time); 7.75 hours per day

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in a relevant teaching area is required
    • Ohio Intervention Specialist License
    • 2 -years experience desired but not required

    Overview: Maple Heights City Schools is seeking a highly qualified Intervention Specialist Teacher dedicated to providing a superior education for all students. The ideal candidate will join a staff of passionate education professionals, eager to create an inspiring and nurturing learning environment that prioritizes student engagement and achievement.

    The Intervention Specialist Teacher  will plan and implement goals and objectives, curricula, and management programs for students with disabilities. The successful candidate will work as part of a team with regular classroom teachers, administrators, and parents to ensure that students with disabilities are educated in the least restrictive environment possible. The successful candidate will be responsible for utilizing data to make instructional decisions for individualized student interventions. The successful candidate should be able to provide specialized behavioral and/or academic support based on the individual needs of the students. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the educational records of as many as 24 students on the caseload. The successful candidate should demonstrate a knowledge and ability to work with a variety of students while implementing effective classroom management strategies to create a structured learning environment.
