Auxiliary Services - Marketing and Digital Experience Intern (Summer)

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

Compensation Package
Interns will be required to work 20 to 25 hours per week during business hours between 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. Students selected for this internship will receive free on-campus housing for the summer. Interns must be available during Towering Traditions and the move-in period.

Position Summary
This internship provides practical experience in marketing, digital engagement and user experience within Auxiliary Services. Interns will support the launch of Belmont’s new mobile credential program through campaign development, outreach and user education. They will also assist with communication, marketing and event preparation for the grand re-opening of Harrington Place Dining. In addition, interns will help enhance the BruinEats mobile ordering platform by improving app content, refining user experience elements and preparing promotional efforts for Fall 2026. This position is ideal for students interested in marketing, event planning, digital communication or user experience design.

Learning Objectives
By the end of the internship, students will be able to:
· Develop and implement marketing campaigns with defined goals and measurable results
· Improve user experience through structured feedback collection and design refinement
· Produce visual and written content for print, digital screens, websites and mobile platforms
· Coordinate projects and collaborate with departments across campus
· Strengthen skills in communication, design, project organization and analytics

Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Mobile Credential Launch
· Support the creation and implementation of a multi-tiered marketing campaign designed to meet adoption goals
· Participate in tabling, outreach and educational activities to assist new campus users
· Collect and summarize feedback from students and staff to improve user experience and inform campaign adjustments

Harrington Place Dining
· Assist with the development of signage, communication pieces and conference messaging while the dining hall is closed
· Prepare digital assets such as graphics, menus and promotional materials
· Assist with the planning and coordination of a grand opening event for the fall semester

BruinEats User Experience and Operations
· Lead a full review of menus and app content to streamline customer experience, including revisions to descriptions, images, modifiers and item organization
· Develop a consistent training guide to support employee onboarding for app usage
· Create a strategy to drive app downloads and visits to new dining locations for Fall 2026
· Build a Fall 2026 marketing campaign that spans August through Labor Day

General Marketing and Design Support
· Assist with content creation for digital screens, handouts, social media and print materials
· Draft and refine marketing copy for campus audiences
· Collect, track and organize engagement metrics from campaigns
· Support special projects and summer promotional needs throughout Auxiliary Services
· Maintain confidentiality for all student and departmental information
· Adapt to new responsibilities as project needs evolve during the summer

Required Qualifications

· Strong written and verbal communication skills
· Creative thinker with an interest in marketing, design, digital media or user experience
· Strong organizational and analytical skills with attention to detail
· Ability to take initiative and manage tasks after receiving direction
· Familiarity with Microsoft Excel, Word and Teams; Canva experience preferred
· Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
