Now Hiring: Referrals Specialist

Starting at $19.50/hr •This position is on-site at our Kona offices, where you’ll be part of a supportive, collaborative team.

As a Referrals Specialist, you’ll play a vital role in the patient care journey. You’ll help coordinate specialty referrals, support patients through every step, and contribute to the health and well-being of our island community.



 What You’ll Do

  • Coordinate, track, and follow up on patient referrals
  • Collaborate with providers and care teams
  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation and medical records
  • Assist with patient travel coordination for appointments
  • Support quality improvement initiatives and ongoing training
  • Provide excellent service to patients and families
  • Maintain compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, and organizational standards
  • Adapt smoothly to daily workflow changes

 Your Schedule

  • Monday–Friday (most weekends off!)
  • Shifts between 6:30 AM–6:00 PM (8‑ or 10‑hour schedules)

 What You Bring

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 1 year of clinical office experience (or equivalent combination of training/experience)
  • Preferred skills:
    • Familiarity with QUEST & other insurance programs
    • Knowledge of Hawaiʻi Health Care Networks
    • ICD‑10 & CPT coding knowledge
