Job Description

About the Role:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Entry-Level Planner to join our manufacturing team. This position provides administrative and scheduling support to our production, operations and shipping departments. The ideal candidate has strong communication skills, strong Microsoft Office skills and is eager to learn about manufacturing processes, production planning, and inventory management. Experience with ERP or MRP systems is a strong plus but not required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative support to the production and shipping teams.
  • Prepare and maintain spreadsheets, reports, and production documents using Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Assist with daily production scheduling, work order creation/tracking, and materials planning.
  • Enter and update data in ERP/MRP systems (training provided).
  • Maintain accurate records of production output, inventory levels, and purchase orders.
  • Coordinate communication between departments to ensure on-time production and deliveries.
  • Help with document control, filing, and other general office tasks.
  • Support the shipping process with documentation, customer service and scheduling shipments.
  • Support all safety and quality initiatives within the company.
  • Support continuous improvement and efficiency initiatives within the manufacturing office.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with production planning, scheduling, ERP, or MRP systems is a plus.
  • Willingness to learn and grow within a manufacturing organization.
