SUMMARY: Perform basic office related duties in the school or department including one or more of the following: assisting students, parents, teachers, district/department staff, and/or visitors; answering phones; typing and/or entering data into the computer; checking in volunteers; assisting with recess and lunch duties; other duties as assigned.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be
able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the

• Visitor Management & Security:
o Greet all visitors warmly and professionally.
o Utilize school security software to check in visitors and issue ID badges.
o Ensure all guests follow school safety protocols and sign out upon departure.
• Office Operations & Clerical Support:
o Answer systems and direct calls to appropriate staff.
o Manage incoming and outgoing mail and deliveries.
o Perform misc. duties including filing, photocopying, and preparing mailings.
o Assist with receipt of good for items ordered
o Provide clerical support to teachers as needed
• Staff Coverage & Collaboration:
o Provide front-desk coverage for other office staff as needed
o Assist with the coordination of substitute check-ins.
o Maintain a clean and organized reception area and workroom.
• Other:
o Assist administration with meeting setup including reserving conferences, coordinating
supplies need for meetings, etc.
o Provide instructional support to small groups (less than 1/3 of the job)
o Assist with recess and lunch duties as needed.
EDUCATION AND RELATED WORK EXPERIENCE:
• High school diploma or equivalent
• 1-2 years of experience in word processing, personal computer skills, and office procedures.

• Criminal background check
