About This Role
Every position at Common Citizen from seed to sale, is contributing to our mission to serve our fellow citizens of Michigan with the highest quality, safest cannabis product through our highly individualized and education-oriented provisioning centers. The Back of House Associate will assist with all inventory activities and will be responsible for auditing to ensure accurate inventory counts.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Assist in initial loss prevention processes.
- Maintain organized and consistent stocking and packaging systems for inputs, outputs, and intermediates.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment that ensures the compliance storage of all items in an operational manner.
- Use and maintain all inventory tracking systems.
- Audit the physical inventory to ensure that the virtual inventory aligns precisely.
- Maintain PAR levels of inventory of solvents and gasses.
- Handle inventory listings in METRC.
- Track both regulated and non-regulated inventory.
- Maintain accurate records including audits and manifests.

- Knowledgeable in METRC.
- Microsoft office suite. General knowledge of Google Documents and Microsoft Excel.

This is a dynamic team, and as such daily tasks may vary, resulting in a fast paced and lively work environment.

Position Summary
The eCommerce Lead is responsible for leading daily operations across online order fulfillment while optimizing the digital customer experience.
This leader will oversee fulfillment team performance, drive operational efficiency, and partner cross-functionally with Dispatch, Customer Experience, Inventory, and Front of House teams to continuously improve order accuracy, speed, and scalability.
This is a player-coach role that requires both hands-on execution and strategic thinking to enhance the end-to-end online ordering journey.
eCommerce & Online Ordering Optimization
Own execution of the online order lifecycle from order placement through fulfillment and handoff to delivery or retail pickup
Monitor order flow, fulfillment windows, and digital demand trends to ensure timely processing
Identify friction points in the online ordering experience and partner with internal teams to improve conversion, speed, and accuracy
Leverage data and reporting to drive decisions around staffing, workflow optimization, and order prioritization
Fulfillment Operations Leadership
Lead, coach, and develop a team of fulfillment associates operating 7 days a week
Ensure all orders are accurately picked, packed, and staged within defined success metrics
Act as a hands-on leader, stepping into operations as needed to support volume and maintain service levels
Oversee order accuracy, inventory handling, and proper processing of canceled or modified orders
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Partner with Delivery Operations and Retail teams to ensure efficient order staging, pickup readiness, and delivery execution
Collaborate with guest-facing teams to resolve order issues and improve customer satisfaction
Work closely with Inventory to maintain accuracy and proper product flow
Support internal systems and digital tools by providing feedback to improve performance and usability
Scheduling & Team Management
Develop and manage team schedules based on order volume trends and business needs
Address attendance, coverage gaps, and performance issues proactively
Conduct regular 1:1s, team huddles, and ongoing training to ensure alignment and engagement
Maintain documentation related to performance management, coaching, and employee development
Compliance & Process Excellence
Ensure all fulfillment operations comply with state regulations and company policies
Maintain and enforce Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
Audit workflows to ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance at all stages
Track KPIs and implement corrective actions to improve performance
Qualifications
1–2 years of leadership experience in fulfillment, Back of House, eCommerce, Cannabis retail operations
Experience supporting or managing online ordering, digital operations, or last-mile fulfillment strongly preferred
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven mindset
Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Suite, and operational systems/software
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
Strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and compliance
Experience in logistics, retail, or regulated industries preferred
Must be 21+ and able to pass all required background checks
