Job Description

Certified Medication Aid (6am-2pm shift )

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Medication Aid to join our team at River Bend Healthcare in Seguin, Texas. As a Certified Medication Aid, you will play a vital role in preparing, administering, and documenting medications, as well as assisting residents with activities of daily living. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Prepare, administer, and document medications for residents in accordance with accepted practices and regulations

  • Complete/updates Electronic Medication Reports as required

  • Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and positioning in and out of bed

  • Assist residents with eating and record food intake

  • Read and follow daily care plans and perform assigned restorative and rehabilitative procedures

  • Monitor and record vital signs, report changes in resident's condition to the charge nurse, and document care provisions on resident records/flow sheets as required

  • Maintain resident confidentiality and comply with all company, state, and OSHA standards

  • Perform other related duties as required or requested

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • 1+ year of long-term care C.N.A experience

  • Must have active state CMA license/certification

  • Must be able to communicate verbally and in writing in English

  • The job operates in a professional office environment with minimal exposure to dust, chemicals, or noise. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines.
