Market Lead – Türkiye
to join our Athens office initially, and to open and lead our Istanbul office in 2027
About the role
We are happy to announce a new senior-level career opportunity for a Market Lead to drive our expansion into the Turkish market, and eventually open and lead our new office in Istanbul (c. mid 2027). This role is pivotal in further expanding our presence in Southeast Europe and MENA, as well as shaping the future direction of our operations in the region.
Initially based in Athens, you will lead all aspects of our market entry and development. You will also operationally lead our Advisory business in Türkiye and play a key role in driving our growth across all service lines including subscription and software solutions.
This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the success of a new business area within a highly successful and rapidly expanding global energy analytics business. Reporting directly to Aurora’s Head of Southeast Europe, you will jointly execute on our market strategy, critically influence our product and service development, and build a successful team with a strong culture and efficient operational processes and systems.
We are looking for a proven leader – with an exemplary track record of success in team environments – combining a focused business development mindset, with excellent communication and relationship management skills. A high interest in, and good understanding of, energy markets is required.

Key Responsibilities
- Project management – acquire, scope and deliver consulting projects for a wide range of clients, including investors, lenders, utilities, independent power producers, and Government
- Relationship building – lead engagement with clients and communicate with senior stakeholders in industry and Government
- Team management – build Aurora’s Turkish team and create a positive work and office culture and provide mentorship and development opportunities for the team
- Resource management – define budget, manage revenues and costs, and work with the team to ensure delivery to timescale and to high quality standards
- Business development – set and meet targets for revenue growth in consulting and boost Aurora’s profile in Türkiye
- Research program oversight – define research agenda and work with your team to deliver compelling insights to clients
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- Proven experience of building and leading teams of talented, technically minded analysts
- Excellent interpersonal, organisational and communication skills
- Strong team player, with a track record of success in team environments
- Results-driven, with a high degree of persistence in reaching goals and a hands-on approach to ensuring targets are achieved
- Proven experience in business development and/or client relationship management
- Enthusiasm for and good knowledge of energy markets/technologies; previous professional exposure to energy and power markets and renewables is preferable
- Strong analytical capabilities, in business, economics, engineering or similar
- Written and spoken fluency in Turkish (C2 level)
- Proficiency in English (C1 level)
The ideal candidate is a proven leader with a track record of success in dynamic, team-oriented environments. You are a strategic thinker with excellent communication and relationship management skills. Your background includes significant experience in consulting, business development and client relationship management, preferably within the energy sector.
