Job Description
We are looking for a Middleware Engineer to join a
data centre migration programme supporting critical payment processing systems.
This role sits within the core engineering stream responsible for ensuring
stability, integration, and successful migration of high-volume transactional
platforms.
The systems support payment card acceptance, acquiring
services, and issuer processing, operating in real-time environments with
strict requirements around availability, performance, and reliability.


Responsibilities
  • Support middleware environments used by payment processing
    platforms

  • Build, configure, and prepare middleware components for migration
  • Collaborate with application and middleware teams on BAU and
    migration activities

  • Support environment setup, configuration, and access preparation
  • Diagnose and resolve technical issues impacting middleware
    platforms

  • Monitor environments to ensure performance, reliability, and
    stability

  • Support testing and migration phases within the data centre
    programme

  • Maintain operational
    documentation in Confluence


Requirements

  • Strong experience with Oracle middleware and integration environments
  • Hands-on experience with WebLogic Server (11g or 12c)
  • Experience with Oracle Service Bus
  • Experience with Oracle Forms and Oracle Reports
  • Experience with Oracle REST Data Services (ORDS)
  • Experience with Oracle Data Integrator
  • Experience with Oracle Internet Directory
  • Strong PL/SQL knowledge
  • Scripting skills in Perl, PowerShell, Shell, Bash, or Python
  • Experience with automation tools such as Rundeck or Ansible
  • Experience with enterprise scheduling tools such as BMC Control-M
  • Experience supporting application or data centre migration programmes
  • Understanding of performance, monitoring, resilience, and availability in
    high-transaction environments

  • Understanding of infrastructure concepts including networking, load
    balancing, and TLS

  • Ability to collaborate
    effectively with international engineering teams


Nice to have
  • Experience in payments, acquiring, or financial
    transaction systems

  • Exposure to large-scale enterprise transformation
    programmes

  • Experience working in regulated or
    high-availability environments

  • Familiarity
    with release management and change governance processes
