Summary:
The FP&A Senior Financial Analyst is responsible for maintaining and publishing forecasts, analysis, and reports for Cosm Media to help drive critical business decisions. Reporting to the FP&A Director, the role will work cross-functionally to analyze and explain financial performance and to track the company's financial health.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with Accounting, Business Development, Production, and other FP&A resources to analyze forecasts and create consolidated plans for Cosm Media.
- Prepare monthly and quarterly Cosm Media business updates to ensure appropriate visibility into operations for executive management.
- Analyze, track, and communicate project margins and performance by business unit.
- Forecast monthly royalty and minimum guarantee payments due to content creators and rights holders based on contractual terms.
- Maintain monthly content amortization forecasts and participate in impairment analysis.
- Partner with the Immersive Production team to understand monthly production event schedule and budgets.
- Analyze monthly expenses by cost center and review with stakeholders to understand spending plans and retrend quarterly forecasts.
- Maintain a monthly cash forecast for Cosm Media and understand future payment obligations and Cap Ex requirements.
- Analyze returns on Media Cap Ex spends and provide insights to internal stakeholders.
- Partner with Accounting to provide the proper classification of transactions and accruals.
- Provide additional analysis as requested.
Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in Investment Banking, FP&A, Accounting, or a related field.
- Knowledge of film accounting and ultimates a plus.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally to problem-solve and achieve goals.
- High proficiency in MS Office, including an ability to maintain complex Excel models and dashboards.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate financial information to non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience with SAGE Intacct or related cloud-based ERP systems.

The annualized base salary range for this position in California is $80,000 to $115,000. The base salary offered will factor in internal equity and may also vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and relevant experience, among other factors.
