Job Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and organized Activities Director Assistant to join our team at River Bend Healthcare in Seguin, Texas. As an essential member of our care team, you will play a vital role in providing engaging and meaningful experiences for our residents, while supporting the Activities Director in planning and implementing activities that promote socialization, recreation, and emotional well-being.
Responsibilities:
Assist the Activities Director in planning and coordinating daily activities, programs, and events for residents, including outings, entertainment, and recreational activities
Monitor and record resident participation and feedback to ensure activities are meeting their needs and preferences
Support the Activities Director in preparing activity schedules, reports, and other administrative tasks
Collaborate with other departments, such as nursing, rehabilitation, and dietary, to ensure seamless coordination and delivery of activities
Participate in resident-centered care planning and assist in developing individualized activity plans
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment for activities and events
Develop and maintain relationships with local community organizations, vendors, and sponsors to enhance resident experiences
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in a related field (e.g., recreation, social work, or gerontology) preferred

Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with residents, families, and staff
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a high level of organization and attention to detail
