Job Summary:

We are seeking a compassionate and organized Activities Director Assistant to join our team at River Bend Healthcare in Seguin, Texas. As an essential member of our care team, you will play a vital role in providing engaging and meaningful experiences for our residents, while supporting the Activities Director in planning and implementing activities that promote socialization, recreation, and emotional well-being.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Activities Director in planning and coordinating daily activities, programs, and events for residents, including outings, entertainment, and recreational activities

  • Monitor and record resident participation and feedback to ensure activities are meeting their needs and preferences

  • Support the Activities Director in preparing activity schedules, reports, and other administrative tasks

  • Collaborate with other departments, such as nursing, rehabilitation, and dietary, to ensure seamless coordination and delivery of activities

  • Participate in resident-centered care planning and assist in developing individualized activity plans

  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment for activities and events

  • Develop and maintain relationships with local community organizations, vendors, and sponsors to enhance resident experiences

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in a related field (e.g., recreation, social work, or gerontology) preferred

  • 0 years of experience in a similar role (entry-level opportunities available)

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with residents, families, and staff

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a high level of organization and attention to detail

  • Physical stamina to support activities and events, and willingness to participate in activities as needed
