Position Summary:

Amkor is seeking a forward-thinking Engineer to join our GenAI Automation team at our Tempe, AZ Corporate Office.  This role will be responsible for architecting and managing scalable automation workflows, integrating systems, and enabling data-driven decision-making.  The ideal candidate will be passionate about modernizing processes through intelligent and efficient technologies.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Design, build, and manage automation workflows to streamline enterprise operations.
  • Develop and maintain integrated automation across ERP systems, planning tools, and data platforms.
  • Partner with business teams to identify automation opportunities and translate requirements into technical solutions using RPA and related technologies.
  • Implement best practices, governance, and KPI’s to measure automation effectiveness and ROI.
  • Monitor and optimize automation performance for reliability, scalability, and alignment with business objectives.
  • Stay current on emerging technologies in automation and analytics; proactively recommend innovations to modernize IT systems.
  • Collaborate with IT stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of automation tools with existing infrastructure.

 

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's level degree in STEM, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Previous internship or work experience in transformation roles with a focus on automation and analytics is preferred.
  • Hands-on experience with RPA platforms and data visualization tools.
  • Exceptional analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent documentation and communications skills.
  • Experience creating detailed reports and giving presentations.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data manipulation.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment within a fast-paced setting.
  • Strong understanding of financial processes and systems (SAP, Oracle preferred).
  • Ability and willingness to travel as needed. This position is anticipated to travel less than 5% domestically and internationally.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Semiconductor manufacturing industry experience is preferred.
  • Global business environments and large public company experience are preferable.
  • Advanced degree (MBA, MIS) or certifications in automation technologies are a plus.

 

Location:
Tempe, AZ. This position has a hybrid schedule.  Candidates must reside near the local Amkor office or be willing to relocate to be considered.
