Job Description

Position Summary:

The Precision Brake Operator Level 1 forms metal stock on an Industrial Press Brake, meeting or exceeding customer specs and productivity requirements by reading blueprints and ensuring correct machine and die settings. They are highly motivated and have a desire to work in a fast paced, quality centered environment. This role is vital to ensuring our customers’ needs are consistently met, promoting our company’s continued strong national growth.

 

Supervisory Responsibilities: None

Internal Relationships: All Departments

External Relationships: Occasional and incidental contact with customers or prospective customers

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Locate and ensure correct material is delivered to the work center.
  • Ensure the machine is working properly.
  • Ensure an appropriate nesting program is delivered to the work center.
  • Ensure nesting program matches print with work order
  • Ensure that the correct gas, speed, and consumables are applied correctly.
  • Accurately project completion of work orders at work center
  • Complete assignments on-time and correctly
  • Ensure jobs are staged correctly after completion
  • Continually maintain a clean working environment
  • Notify Supervisor immediately of any problems or issues with machine
  • May perform other duties as assigned
