Job Title: Human Resources and Operations Specialist

Location: On-site at Excellent Healthcare & PRP Services, Inc., 4002 West Belvedere Avenue, Baltimore, Maryland 21215

Reports To: President, Innocent Akpuaka (or designee)

Hourly Rate: $21/hour (Annualized at $43,680)

Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM (40 hours/week)

Position Summary:

Excellent Healthcare & PRP Services, Inc. is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Human Resources and Operations Specialist to support both HR and clinic operations. This role ensures compliance with Maryland labor laws, HIPAA regulations, and internal policies. There may be an opportunity to transition into a permanent role based on performance and business needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage HR functions including recruitment, onboarding, payroll processing, and employee relations.

• Support clinic operations such as appointment scheduling, client communications, and administrative tasks.

• Ensure compliance with HIPAA, I-9 and E-Verify requirements, Maryland labor laws, and healthcare policies.

• Assist with client group sessions through administrative coordination.

• Monitor and respond to emails in the general mailbox to maintain workflow efficiency.

• Coordinate staff training to meet state regulations and CARF accreditation standards.

• Perform additional duties as assigned by the Employer.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Healthcare Management, or a related field.

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in HR or healthcare operations.

• Strong knowledge of Maryland labor laws, HIPAA regulations, and federal employment standards.

• Proficiency in HRIS systems, payroll software, and Microsoft Office Suite.

• Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.

• Experience with I-9 verification, E-Verify, and CARF accreditation processes is a plus.

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Compensation & Benefits:

• Pay: $21/hour, paid bi-weekly in arrears.

• Overtime: Paid in accordance with Maryland wage laws.

• Paid Time Off: Accrual of 7 days/year, prorated.

• Paid Holidays: 5 company-designated holidays.

• Health Insurance: Eligible for reimbursement per company policy.

• Retirement: Participation in 401K plan (subject to eligibility).
