Job Description

Position Overview

Zimmerman Associates, Inc. (ZAI) is pursuing an exciting new federal contract opportunity and is seeking a Senior Records Manager to lead records management efforts for the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF). This role is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining records management policies and overseeing the full records lifecycle in compliance with federal requirements.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain records management policies and procedures
  • Provide records management training
  • Conduct records audits and assessments
  • Recommend and implement corrective actions
  • Manage all aspects of the records management lifecycle
  • Make federal records disposition decisions
  • Apply General Records Schedules (GRS) and Agency Records Schedules
  • Perform research and develop records schedules
  • Serve as liaison between ATF and the National Archives and Records Administration (NARA)
  • Ensure proper filing, storage, and disposition of records

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required (Information Management preferred)
  • 5–7 years of experience in records management or related field
  • Experience with federal records lifecycle and disposition requirements
  • Knowledge of General Records Schedules (GRS) and Agency Records Schedules
  • Experience conducting audits, assessments, and training
