As our Epic Clinical Data Scientist, you will help Virginia Mason Franciscan Health (VMFH) design, develop, test, implement, and maintain data modeling and analytics solutions. This work will transform raw data into actionable insights, foster data-driven decision-making, and continually enhance patient care and outcomes.
Every day you will collaborate with clinicians, leaders, and IT teams to conceptualize and develop advanced analytic solutions addressing complex healthcare challenges. You will be expected to leverage your expertise in Epic EMR data, SQL, and data science techniques to create compelling reports, dashboards, and predictive models that improve patient safety, quality, and population health across VMFH.
To be successful in this role, you must be an expert in querying Epic EMR data sets (Clarity and Caboodle), possess strong SQL and data modeling skills, and have a proven ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights for diverse healthcare stakeholders.
As a remote employee, we will provide you with the equipment needed to work from home, including a laptop, docking station, dual monitors, and accessories.
Required
Bachelor's degree of Science in a Quantitative Discipline (BS in mathematics, statistics, health services research, informatics, epidemiology or research-oriented MPH) and three years of related work experience in quantitative data analysis, including one year in healthcare context.
Or any equivalent combination of education and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the essential functions of the position.
