The Forklift Operator is responsible for accurately loading/unloading finished goods according to company policies as well as ensuring safe and efficient operation of machinery at all times. This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for ensuring Receiving and Shipping procedures are implemented and continuously adhered to, per written procedures.
- Responsible for the rotation of finished goods in inventory to ensure inventory is used on a FIFO basis.
- Communicate with Warehouse Manager as to the condition and quality of incoming materials and potential issues relating to performance of production and plant warehouse receiving.
- Assist with inventory of finished goods and reconciling discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Assist with the preparation of year-end inventory.
- Availability to perform job duties in any AbiMar location.
- Responsible for maintaining a clean, organized and safe work area at all times.
- Responsible for operating forklift and other machinery in a safe & professional manner.
- Responsible for accurate completion of receiving and shipping paperwork.
- Communicate effectively (verbal and written) with all contacts
- Accept and adapt easily to change

Experience
- High School degree or GED and/or a combination of education and relevant experience
- 1-3 years related experience in freight, logistics and inventory.
