Description:
The Linn School District is seeking a motivated and student-centered individual to serve as the Head Coach for the Middle School Girls Basketball program. This position is responsible for leading, developing, and organizing all aspects of the program while fostering a positive, competitive, and educational environment for student-athletes.

Responsibilities:

• 
  

  Plan, organize, and conduct practices and games

  
  


• 
  

  Teach fundamental basketball skills, teamwork, and sportsmanship

  
  


• 
  

  Promote a positive culture focused on effort, accountability, and growth

  
  


• 
  

  Supervise student-athletes during practices, games, and team events

  
  


• 
  

  Communicate effectively with players, parents, administration, and staff

  
  


• 
  

  Coordinate with high school coaching staff to align program development

  
  


• 
  

  Ensure compliance with school and athletic policies

  
  


• 
  

  Assist with equipment management and program organization

  
  

Qualifications:

• 
  

  Previous coaching experience preferred (basketball or related sport)

  
  


• 
  

  Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills

  
  


• 
  

  Ability to build positive relationships with middle school students

  
  


• 
  

  Knowledge of the game and commitment to player development

  
  


• 
  

  Must meet all district and state coaching requirements (background check, certifications, etc.)
