Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Steel Stud & Drywall Carpenter to join our growing Special Services Division (SSD) in Beaver Dam, WI. This team focuses on remodels, renovations, and expansions across industries including food/dairy, healthcare, education, and light industrial. Most projects are within a 1–1.5-hour radius of Beaver Dam, with occasional overnight travel.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret architectural and structural blueprints.
  • Perform steel stud framing (16GA–20GA), including cold-formed steel systems.
  • Hang and finish drywall to Level 5 standards.
  • Complete daily reports, safety inspections, and required documentation.
  • Assist with layout, wall framing, door openings, and material interpretation.
  • Uphold high standards of craftsmanship, safety, and communication.

 

Qualifications

  • High school diploma.
  • Journeyman certification.
  • 3–5 years of experience in steel stud framing and drywall.
  • Certifications: MEWP, First Aid/CPR, Rough Terrain Forklift
  • Strong ability to read and interpret floor plans, architectural drawings, and structural blueprints.
  • Ability to complete daily reports and safety inspections accurately.
  • Strong communication skills and willingness to train or mentor others.
  • Proficiency with Procore is a plus.
