We are currently recruiting for the position of: 

E-Commerce Clerk (Curbside) - 2501 Fairoaks Blvd., Sacramento, CA 95825

Job Summary

The E-Commerce Clerk's role involves selecting and assembling products for customers' online orders, prioritizing freshness, and quality. They process payments and meticulously prepare orders for pickup. The position facilitates final handoff of prepared orders to the end customer. Their primary objective is to deliver an efficient and positive customer service experience, fostering customer loyalty to online shopping.

Responsibilities

Description    

  • Process orders through the POS system                             
  • Effectively communicate with leadership regarding fulfillment challenges                 
  • Communicates any substitutions or exceptions to customer's order                             
  • Adhere to customer order promise times to meet demand                   
  • Follow instructions diligently to fulfill orders accurately                           
  • Handoff orders to end customer or stage for customer retrieval according to program needs, i.e. in-store pickup, curbside, or staging in a kiosk/locker                     
  • Meet productivity metrics and other fulfilment goals                
  • Maintain a clean work area, orderly, and free from safety hazards                    
  • Stock supplies as needed.                           
  • Report pricing, scanning, and item location discrepancies to Store Management                 
  • Uphold customer satisfaction by providing a seamless shopping experience with a variety of fresh and clean products                           
  • Follow all safety protocols, operating procedures, and standards for product freshness and quality, including food safety guidelines for handling, displaying, and storing food items                   
  • Follow all established protocols and requirements for handoff of regulated products                        
  • Perform other duties as assigned         

Hiring pay range: $16.90 - 20.30

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Required:

  • Excellent customer service and communication (verbal and written) skills.
  • Ability to work with a sense of urgency and self-motivation.
  • Capability to be proactive, initiative, enthusiastic, and flexible on the job.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English proficiently
  • Strong team player with a willingness and desire to learn, work hard, and have fun!
  • Preferred
  • Any experience as a personal shopper or in a warehouse environment, stocking shelves, or experience as a cashier

Experience:

0 - Three months or any equivalent experience


Education

Required - High School or GED and/or equivalent experience/training   


Other Requirements (i.e. Travel Expectations):

  • Availability to work a variety of retail hour shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Availability to work overnight shift
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Ability to lift 40 pounds without assistance and may lift up to 85 lbs on occasion
  • Ability to carry up to 80 lbs on occasion
  • Ability to push up to 85 lbs on occasion
  • Ability to pull up to 92 lbs on occasion
  • Requires standing and other physical movements on a frequent basis;
  • Ability to work in temperature levels that may fluctuate depending on the specific area of the store workers are functioning, and workers are required to work in cold room and freezer units.
  • Ability to operate tools inclusive of step stool, carts, register, safety cutter, rolling ladder, food preparation equipment, ovens, warmers, food mixers, meat cutting instruments, various carts including pallet jacks, packaging components and equipment, and cleaning supplies.
