    Wayzata Kids Inclusion Assistant - Summer Only

    Position Type/Title: Inclusion Assistant
    Location: Gleason Lake, Sunset Hill, Meadow Ridge, and North Woods

    Hours Per Week: 20-40
    Schedule: 7:00 am - 6:00 pm  Monday through Friday *note: These are the hours the program is open. Scheduled hours will be set an agreed on with each individual candidate.*
    Starting Wage: $21.25

    We are seeking an experienced, enthusiastic, and energetic Inclusion Assistants to join our team!

    Position Description:

    The successful candidate will be responsible for creating a positive environment and providing high-quality care to our students, reenforcing social emotional skills, supporting student needs and behaviors, as well as communicating with site leadership on student progress. The position requires flexibility as the placement will be determined by student needs. 

    As an Inclusion Assistant you will�

    • Execute age-appropriate, stimulating activities
    • Create a safe and nurturing learning environment
    • Enforce policies and procedures set by the school
    • Foster an atmosphere of respect and positive reinforcement


    We are looking for someone with the following qualifications�

    • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent
    • Post-secondary education in child development, early childhood, or equivalent preferred
    • Experience working with school aged children with special needs in a childcare or education setting is highly preferred
    • Has a passion for working with young children and excellent knowledge of child development
    • Has the physical abilities to perform the required job duties with or without accommodation
    • Able to communicate effectively and build positive relationships with students, staff and caregivers
    • Has documentation of U.S. citizenship or eligibility to work in the U.S.
    • Must successfully meet our pre-employment background screening requirements
