Job Description

The position of Tool Warehouse Supervisor supports the project teams throughout the local region. This position is responsible for providing a wide array of shop and warehouse support for the field and general facilities support for operations. The Tool Warehouse Supervisor is a member of the office Safety Committee and represents the group for the monthly safety meetings.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Manage the shop Material Handler team, typically 1-10 (but can be more) and the Assistant Warehouse Supervisor.
  2. First tier response to field calls and email requests.
  3. Dispatch and schedule driver deliveries and runs.
  4. Purchase, maintain, and manage safety equipment for field, warehouse, and vehicles.
  5. Facilitate and assist with all reasonable requests for tools and/or supplies.  If outside the Tool Department’s purview, pass the request to the appropriate department and follow up to confirm the request has been completed.
  6. Assist with Fleet and Facility requests within the respective region as needed.
  7. Continuously develop knowledge of trade tools (specs, use, safe handling, and purpose).
  8. Assist personnel in proper equipment selection via clarification of end use.
  9. Maintain current working knowledge of EEW requirements and procedures.
  10. Fulfill tool requisitions in a timely manner for field personnel, track delivery and logistics.
  11. Maintain active jobsite tool inventory, operate and maintain the ToolWatch program, assist personnel in tool selection for projects, maintain records of all tool transfers.
  12. Manage assets that require inspection and/or calibration on regular intervals and repair tools as needed.
  13. Audit, log and file tool transaction tickets.
  14. Other duties as assigned.
