Description

POSITION SUMMARY

The position is responsible for maintaining and completing daily tasks to ensure the health of the washers and emulsion systems. The Washer Technician will also complete tasks necessary for maintenance during down time on machines, As well as any other related tasks that may be asked of the washer technician for equipment operation.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Oversee and ensure the washer and emulsion chemistry remains in control
Responsible for completing all required documents and forms to ensure quality of the product
Responsible for reporting out of spec test results to Supervisors and Quality Technician
Monitor and control the Emulsion systems, provide communication when necessary
Identify and troubleshoot any issues with Washers and Emulsion systems
Partner with the Maintenance department, managers, and supervisors for any maintenance issues with the equipment
Follow all safety rules and regulations.
Ensure proper housekeeping of area.
Complete other maintenance duties as assigned
Adhere to all Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements and follow all safety processes and protocols

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS REQUIRED

High School Diploma or equivalent;
Minimum 2 years of experience working in a production/manufacturing maintenance environment preferred
Basic understanding of mechanical systems and process control
Ability to use VOC gas detection equipment and respiratory PPE to limit exposure
Mechanically inclined to troubleshoot any potential issues
Willingness to learn and follow all processes and procedures
Must be at least 18 years of age or older
Team player, dedicated to overall company performance and the ability to get along with others
Self-motivated with enthusiasm and drive; able to work independently as needed
Ability to work various shifts if needed, to support a 24/7 operation
Reliable attendance on-site required

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Regularly required to walk, stand, stoop, kneel and crouch
Regularly required to work from heights
Regularly required to wear PPE for splash protection, respiratory protection and fall protections
Regularly required to communicate and listen
Regularly required to push, pull a full Drum with the Drum picker
Regularly required to lift up to 35lbs.
Occasionally required to lift up to 50lbs.
Must be able to work in a manufacturing environment with a moderate to high noise level, experiencing vibration on a regularbasis
Ability to regularly reach to use tools and equipment
