Job Title: Navy Diver Subject Matter Expert – Naval Air Warfare Center Training Systems Division

Job Summary: 

 

Naval Aviation Warfare Center Training Systems Division requires full time Navy Diver Subject Matter Experts (SME) to support Center for Explosive Ordnance Disposal and Diving (CEODD) and Naval Diving and Salvage Training Center (NDSTC) Navy Diver (ND) Ready Relevant Learning (RRL) Content Conversion / Curriculum Development services. 


 
Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a SME on ND and ND Training as part of a team of contractors modernizing and developing specific courses of instruction that are part of the ND initial accession training pipeline.
  • Participate in face-to-face collaboration, key data collection activities (interviews, workshops, and reviews) and will be available for providing follow-up information via phone, video-teleconference, or approved virtual meeting tools.
  • Provide material solution recommendations for ND course content converted / content developed, ensuring it meets the desired classroom / laboratory delivery required in the CEODD domain.

 

Qualifications:

  • Former U.S. Navy Diver Chief Petty Officer (E-7) or above. 
  • Completed a minimum of three (3) tours as a First Class Diver (M1DV) or qualified as a Master Diver (MDV/MMDV). 
  • Completed a 24-month or longer instructor tour at NDSTC as an Instructor (805A) or Master Training Specialist (8MTS) within the past 10 years. 
  • Current or previously held Navy Master Training Specialist (8MTS) qualification (within last 10 years). 
  • Current or previously certified Navy High-Risk Instructor (HRI) in accordance with NETCINST 1500.13 (or most current). 
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Navy demolition operations and instruction (e.g., underwater demolition, range safety, demo planning, and execution). 
  • Ability to successfully conduct a technical teach-back to a panel on topics such as Basic Physics or Basic Medicine. 
  • Must be proficient in the NETC training development processes (NETCINST 1500.13/Navy Training Process) and the Content Planning Module/Learning Object Module (CPM/LOM) systems.
  • Must possess or be eligible to obtain and maintain a SECRET security clearance.
