We are seeking a substitute teacher to work in one of our 5th grade classrooms through the remainder of the 2025-2026 school year.  This will be a half day substitute position with the hours of the position being 12:00 - 3:30pm.

Job Summary: To work as a substitute teacher supporting the Hudson School District

Substitute Teachers should have the ability to carry out a program of study prescribed in the lesson plans left by the classroom teacher. Create a classroom environment that is conducive to learning and appropriate to the maturity and interests of the students. Guide the learning process toward the achievement of curriculum goals and objectives as indicated in the lesson plans for the lessons, units, or projects assigned.

As a substitute, you will assume all the daily responsibilities of the position that you are substituting, such as lunchroom duty, hall monitoring, etc., and perform other related duties as directed by the principal.  Substitutes are hired at will and there are no benefits associated with the position.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED.
• NHDOE certification, preferred

Compensation:

• $55.00 per half day for non-certified teachers
• $62.50 per half day after 20 days of subbing in a school year
• $75.00 per half day for certified teacher substitutes (must submit a copy of their current NH Dept of Education Certification to the Human Resources department).

For substitute assignments lasting 3.5 hours, the substitute will be compensated at a half day rate.
