Great Place Construction is a private construction firm that specializes in commercial construction.  We are seeking an Estimator to join our team to calculate, compile and prepare estimates as part of the pre-construction team.  If you are driven to succeed, want to elevate yourself and those around you, and want to grow with a growing company, we want you!

 

DUTIES:

 

• Generate project estimates.


• Complete quantity takeoffs.


• Solicit specialty contractors to obtain estimates.


• Maintain specialty contractor database to insure current information and inclusion of new potential bidders.


• Assist in preparation of request for proposal documents.


• Support management team in maintain and updating estimating software/database.


• Coordinate bid document sharing with all process stakeholders.


• Be an active participant in elevating yourself and the team around you.


• Willingness to do whatever it takes to deliver a successful outcome.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Excellent communication skills


• Excellent attention to detail.


• Bachelor’s degree or working toward a bachelor's degree in construction or engineering or equivalent experience.


• Minimum 3 years of related experience


• Familiarity with commercial estimating techniques and software: On-Screen Take off, Bluebeam, ISqFT, etc.


• Valid DL and good driving record
