Job Description
Provides leadership to the Neurovascular Clinical Technology specialist team. Provides technical, clinical and educational support for MicroVention Products with focus on new technologies. Job duties:
- Supervise and mentor the Neurovascular Clinical Technology specialist team: recruit, hire and train new staff; provide career development, job performance feedback and leadership; support budgeting, manage resource allocation and strategic planning.
- Collaborate with Marketing and NA Sales to develop and provide optimal technical/clinical support for product evaluations, physician new-users, challenging cases, clinical in-services and other physician training and educational support programs on all MicroVention products.
- Provide and manage new product sales roll-out and clinical training support in developing clinical assessment, sales force & physician education/sales tools and clinical strategy for new products.
- Provide and manage clinical support for Global Sales and Distribution Teams.
- Develop and conduct Sales and Distributor Training Programs as requested by Corporate Training, Product Management, CHAPLA region, and the New Technologies Program Departments.
- Lead with researching and analyzing competitive products and their potential impact on MicroVention business; provide recommendations and support for development of product positioning, education materials, and product development programs.
- Manage team support for associates from key functional groups including, but not limited to: Marketing, Sales, Clinical Research, R&D, and Regulatory Affairs, to help drive success for new product development and other MicroVention programs.
- Support new product development: including physician preference testing, pre-clinical testing, evaluation of new products and new product technical case support, analyzing and reporting on clinical performance issues and support post market surveillance as needed.
- Partner with Global Market Development team members to integrate “best practices” and ensure consistency on optimal clinical techniques for product evaluations, launches, new-user training and completion of clinical studies.
- If based remotely, travel to Aliso Viejo to meet with Marketing peers and other departments at corporate headquarters, approximately twice a year for at least two full days and provide support for Physician Visits at the MVI Global Innovation Center or at Key Accounts Globally as needed.
- Coordinate and assist Global Market Development support at local, regional and other global scientific meetings, training or marketing programs as assigned.

Qualifications
- Technical degree, Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- Registered Radiologic Technologist (R.T.) CV, VI, Registered Nurse (R.N.) or Endovascular, Cardiac background with a minimum of three (3) to five (5) years of experience in the Angio-Suite (or equivalent) interventional procedures, with experience in neuro endovascular therapies as a technologist or nurse preferred.
- Minimum of three (3) to five (5) years neurovascular industry experience.
- Knowledge of complete vascular anatomy (cardiovascular system) and physiology with an extensive focus on knowledge of neuro anatomy and physiology.
- Requires extensive travel: local, regional, national and some global (60% -70% of the time).
- Understanding of project management, clinical study project, trials and personnel management.
- Capability and flexibility to travel to hospitals and participate in training/marketing events worldwide.
- Capable of effectively interfacing/communicating with sales staff, cross-functional MicroVention teams and worldwide distributor organizations.
- Excellent computer and iPad skills with working knowledge of MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint and maintaining customer databases.
- Extremely reliable and dependable.
- Knowledge of complete cardiovascular vascular anatomy with a focus on neurovascular.
- Neurovascular/Peripheral catheterization knowledge, techniques and skills.
- Ability to recognize normal and abnormal disease processes as it relates to clinical cases and the use of MicroVention products.
- Ability to effectively articulate MicroVention product use, concepts, outcomes and clinical device protocols and study design.
- Ability to effectively interface with physicians, staff and hospital administration.
- Ability to effectively interface with Sales, Marketing, R&D, Engineering, and Clinical Research staff.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks effectively and consistently meet deadlines.
- Provide attention to detail and able to work both as a team and autonomously.
