Health and Wellness Intern
Internship - unpaid
300-hour placements (about 22-25 hours/week) for Fall, Winter, Spring & Summer Semester
The Health & Wellness Intern will support COLOURS’ ongoing programs focused on HIV prevention, mental health awareness, and holistic wellness. This role is ideal for students in public health, social work, or psychology who want hands-on experience with community-based interventions.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in planning and facilitating weekly health workshops and drop-in activities.
- Support Drop-In events by managing participant intake forms and providing educational resources.
- Collect feedback from participants and summarize data for program reports.
- Shadow staff during community outreach activities.
Supervision:
Reports directly to the Community Engagement Manager and will have weekly one-on-one supervision meetings. Interns will also have opportunities to collaborate with program coordinators and guest facilitators.
