Job Description

We're seeking a hands-on Sr. Safety Coordinator to lead both field safety execution and administrative compliance. This role blends on-site audits and incident investigations with office-based analysis, reporting, and policy updates. You'll serve as the primary safety lead for assigned projects, ensuring safe, compliant, and high-performing operations. This position is ideal for someone who can influence the field while strengthening safety programs at a strategic level.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conducts site audits, identify hazards, and ensure corrective actioins are completed
  • Partner with project teams to enforce safety policies and coach field leadership
  • Lead safety meetings, briefings, and documentation for audit readiness
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA and applicable regulatioins
  • Manage incident investigations, OSHA logs, and safety reporting
  • Analyze safety trends and support continuous improvement efforts
  • Maintain training records, safety files, and compliance documentation
  • Support pre-job planning, subcontractor onboarding, and safety programs

Qualifications

Education & Certifications

  • OSHA 30-Hour, First Aid/CPR/AED (required)
  • STS-C (required); CHST (preferred)
  • Bachelor's degree in safety-related field (preferred)

Experience

  • 3-5 years of construction/industrial safety experience (or 5+ years in lieu of degree)
  • Experience with audits, safety programs, and incident investigations

Skills

  • Strong knowledge of OSHA standards and safety best practices
  • Effective communication and leadership skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Valid driver's license (TWIC preferred)

Work Environment & Physical Demands

This role requireds a mix of office and active job site work, with up to 50% travel. Candidates must be able to navigate construction sites, work in varying weather confitions, and perform occasional lifting (up to 25 lbs). Limited remote flexibility; occasioinal after-hours work may be required.
