Payroll Coordinator

Job Summary/Objective:

The Payroll Coordinator administers all aspects of payroll processing within an organization. They ensure accurate and timely payment of employee salaries, wages, bonuses, and deductions, while adhering to relevant legal and regulatory requirements. The Payroll Coordinator maintains payroll data, resolves payroll-related issues, and provides support to both Physicians and Team Members regarding payroll inquiries.

Essential Job Functions

� Payroll Processing: Process payroll for employees accurately and on time, including calculating wages, deductions, and overtime. Verify the accuracy of timekeeping records and resolve any discrepancies. Collaborate with HR and finance teams to gather necessary payroll data and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.

� Payroll Administration: Maintain payroll records, including employee information, earnings, deductions, and taxes. Update and reconcile payroll data regularly. Prepare and distribute pay statements, reports, and tax forms (e.g., W-2) as required. Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations.

� Benefits and Deductions: Ensure accurate deductions for benefits and other payroll-related items, such as garnishments, levies, and child support payments.

� Payroll System Management: Maintain and update the payroll system, including employee data, tax codes, and pay rates. Payroll Queries and Issue Resolution: Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll, tax withholdings, deductions, and benefits. Resolve payroll-related issues or discrepancies promptly and professionally. Collaborate with HR, finance, and management teams to address complex payroll matters and provide guidance on payroll policies and procedures.

� Recordkeeping and Audit Support: Ensure accurate recordkeeping of payroll transactions, reports, and supporting documentation. Assist in internal and external payroll audits, providing necessary information and documentation as requested. Maintain confidentiality and security of payroll data and adhere to data protection policies.

� Onboarding Support: Facilitates the seamless integration of new employees into the organization by supporting the HR team with Orientation, Documentation and Paperwork (I9).

� Performs other duties as assigned.

Travel

No travel is expected for this position, however due to department needs this can vary.

Required Education and Experience

� Associates� degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field required.

� Two to Five years of related payroll experience required.

� Proficiency with ADP Workforce Now payroll software.

� Extensive knowledge of the payroll function including preparation, balancing, internal controls, and payroll taxes.

� Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

� Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

� Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

� Healthcare industry and company acquisition experience a plus.
