About this opportunity: 

The public history program is a flagship program of the department of history which creates high impact experiences for students who build their careers through a series of encounters with museum professionals and course work. This is part-time position.

Candidates for searches must have current authorization to be employed in the U.S. without employer sponsorship.

What you'll do and what you'll bring: 

Position Description:

  • The instructor will provide in person instruction for sixteen weeks in the public history program for the class HIST 240 Introduction to Public History.

  • The instructor will create and implement curriculum for each class of the sixteen-week semester. The instructor will create, administer, score, and post grades in a timely manner for student feedback, midterms,  finals, and final grades.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • The instructor will have at least three year of experience in the field of public history.

  • Master’s degree from an accredited college or university.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • The successful candidate will have university teaching experience.
