Job Description

Position Summary:

This position is responsible for greeting hotel guests in a warm and sincere manner and providing outstanding customer service.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities: includes but not limited to:

  • Assists hotel guests with check-in and reservations

  • Assists guests with various requests and needs and coordinates details with necessary departments or vendors

  • Assists with making dinner and golf reservations and provides a professionally written confirmation to the guest

  • Assists guests with transportation arrangements and directions

  • Provides detailed information about Mohegan Sun, it’s property and the surrounding area to both internal and external guests

Secondary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assists in other areas of Hotel Operations, including Aquai reception and Front Desk

  • Assists the Front Desk with processing Express Check-outs

  • Registers guests, assigns rooms and issues keys

  • Procures accurate payment methods and manages a daily cash till

Minimum Education and Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

  • One year of customer relations experience in a hotel

  • Must be able to effectively communicate in English

CompetenciesIncumbent will master the following competencies while in this position:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Basic computer skills in Word, Excel and Lotus Notes

  • Knowledge of LMS, ACSC, HMS, Espresso, LRS, Timelox, DC-1, Hotel paging system, RPOS, Telecheck systems and any other software system used in Hotel Operations

  • Extensive knowledge of the property and  local areas and destinations

  • Possesses a high level of maturity to deal with the most discriminating guest requests and requirements

Training Requirements:

  • Knowledge of systems used by Hotel Operations

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

  • Office work environment

  • Must be able to stand, reach, bend or sit for extended periods of time

  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.

  • Must be able to work various shifts and flexible hours
