Production Planner


Location: Greenville, MI

Reports to: Director of Materials


Middleby Refrigeration is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Production Planner to join our team. This pivotal role plays a key part in aligning production schedules, material planning, and capacity management to meet customer demands across our refrigeration brands—U-Line, Marvel, and Viking Refrigeration.


Location: This position will be based in Greenville, Michigan.

Expected Hours of Work: 


This position is full-time. The general scheduled workdays are Monday through Friday.


Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced, energetic, and detail-oriented Production Planner

 to join our team. You will be involved in every step of the manufacturing process, ensuring the highest quality standards for our brands. This position will initially be based in Greenville, Michigan


Responsibilities:


  • Schedule Fabrication and Assembly Departments
  • Schedule production orders based on customer requests, manufacturing time, capacity, material availability, and lead time
  • Manage the job queue to ensure a smooth production floor in Assembly
  • Create daily production schedules and job travelers, including all sub-assembly areas
  • Monitor material availability to ensure an uninterrupted production schedule
  • Resolve scheduling issues and manage the shop order printing process
  • Track report on shipping and production indicators
  • Plan shipments to major customers a month in advance and coordinate with Sales management for timely deliveries
  • Ensure timely production of finished goods for scheduled shipments
  • Conduct capacity planning
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management


Requirements

Qualifications: 


  • Preferred BA/BS degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, or Manufacturing, or equivalent work experience
  • Scheduling experience in a manufacturing setting using MRP/ERP systems
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Proficiency in database reporting using PowerBI and Excel
  • CPIM certification is preferred
  • Pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.


Working Conditions: 

  • Office-based and shop environment 
  • Less than 20% travel
  • 8-hour shifts
  • Monday- Friday
