Our employees are not only part of history, they're making history.The Software Team at Northrop Grumman Mission Systems (NGMS) is looking for you to join our team as a Staff Embedded Software Engineer based out of Camarillo, CA. If you are an experienced Software Engineer or Software Developer, WE WANT YOU! Join our team and support our Growler Block II Program. All Software tasking will be performed at the Naval Air Warfare Center, Point Mugu and our Northrop Grumman Camarillo, CA office.

What you’ll get to do:
- Develop embedded real-time system software
- Work in an Agile environment as part of a scrum team
- Resolve software and system defects
- Collaborate with our customer, internal NGC sites and disciplines
- Participate and contribute to peer reviews, critical milestone reviews, and technical inter-change meetings
- Use project dependent tools including:
- Bitbucket, Jira, Confluence, git
- Rational Clear Case, ClearQuest, DOORS
- Ada, C/C++, C#, Python
- Windows, Linux, Green Hills Integrity RTOS
- Serve as a technical lead over new capability development efforts
- Work with Program Engineer to provide engineering estimates
- Implement feasible process and tool improvement solutions given available resources
- Identify technical product opportunities and partner with Program Management to pursue business solutions
Basic Qualifications for Staff Embedded Software Engineer:
- BS degree in a STEM field (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) with 12 years of experience; or MS degree in a STEM field with 10 years of experience; Or PHD in a STEM field with 8 years of experience
- Must have experience with a higher order language such as Ada, C/C++, C#
- Experience with real-time embedded software development
- Proficiency of object-oriented development
- Experience with version control systems (e.g. git, Bitbucket, ClearCase, etc.)
- Experience with Electronic Warfare and the EA-18G Airborne Electronic Attack system suite
- Ability to function as a member of an integrated team
- Experience leading a software team of 4+
- US Citizenship required
- Ability to obtain DoD Secret Clearance or higher – must receive interim Secret clearance prior to onboarding

- Strong verbal communication and customer service skills
- Strong collaborative mindset
- Experience working full software life cycle experience on large scale formal DoD program
- Experience programming with Ada language
- Experience programming with C++ language
- Experience working in an Agile environment
- Experience developing system software requirements
