Position Summary:
The Integrated Security Systems Technician provides customer-focused technological support for security systems including video surveillance, access control, and intrusion detection. The role includes remote and on-site assistance, troubleshooting, programming, quality assurance, and system commissioning. The Technician delivers exceptional service and collaborates with clients, vendors, and internal teams to ensure high-quality installations and system performance. Up to 15% travel may be required.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

- Responsible for understanding, staying updated on, and abiding by the Employee Handbook as written.
- Support customers, coordinators, field technicians, and project managers with technical advice and troubleshooting.
- Collaborate with Physical Security Team and/or others for pre-sales and post-sales technical support.
- Provide training to field personnel ensuring compliance with codes and quality standards.
- Serve as an escalation point for troubleshooting, programming, maintaining, and servicing client systems.
- Pre-program, build, and stage equipment prior to installation.
- Provide remote and on-site programming and commissioning.
- Complete quality assurance audits on installations.
- Assist installation and service teams with technical planning and commissioning.
- Deliver end-user training to client representatives.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Build strong professional relationships with clients, partners, and colleagues.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Experience delivering user and technical training.
- Low-voltage cabling and data infrastructure experience preferred.
- Industry certifications (PLT, NICET, ESA) preferred but not required.
- Manufacturer certifications (Axis, DMP, YourSixOS) preferred but not required.
- Strong interest in continued education and certifications.
- Basic familiarity with the NEC.
- Ability to meet travel and on-call requirements.
- Candidates must posses a valid driver's license, maintain an acceptable driving record, and provide proof of minimum auto insurance coverage as required by state law.
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and multitasking abilities.
- Proficiency with Windows, MS Office, and standard software tools.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Education/Experience:
- Minimum High School or GED required.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience with video surveillance, access control, and intrusion systems.
- Must pass BCA Background check and complete or have completed the CJIS Security and Privacy: Privileged Role certification.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
